HONDA JTECH: MXGP SPAGNA TALAVERA DE LA REINA

The “Cerro Negro” circuit, located in Talavera de la Reina, Spain, hosted the 9^th GP of the World Championship 2016. Unfortunately the Honda JTech rider Nicholas Adams was not there, he is out due to a fracture of the right collarbone.

Unlucky GP for Henry Jacobi who couldn’t enter the top-20. In the First Race he crashed in the second lap. Even though a good moving up, he couldn’t do better than a 22° place. In the Second Race the German crashed in the start and after another good coming back, he crossed the finish-line in 21^th position.

Also for Nick Kouwenberg the Spanish GP wasn’t a lucky one. After a bad start in Race 1, while he was trying to get back on track, the Dutch crashed really hard and hit the head. He was forced to retire. Even if he wasn’t 100% on Sunday, he took the start in the Second Race and after riding around the 3^rd place, he arrived 11^th at the end.

Filippo Zonta, after a start in the back, recovered till the 22th place, very close to the points-zone. At the start of the Second Race, he was involved in a group-crash, and he could recover till the 29^thposition.

The Championship will move to France this weekend on the circuit of Saint-Jean D'Angely.

Il tracciato “Cerro Negro” situato a Talavera de la Reina in Spagna, ha ospitato il 9° GP del Mondiale Motocross 2016 che arriva così a metà del suo percorso. Il Team Honda JTech ha corso a ranghi ridotti per via dell’assenza di Nicholas Adams, fuori a causa frattura della clavicola destra.

Gran Premio sfortunato per Henry Jacobi che non riesce ad entrare nella top-20 in nessuna delle due frazioni. Nella Prima Manche una caduta al secondo giro non gli consente di fare meglio del 22° posto finale, nonostante una buona rimonta. Nella Seconda Manche il tedesco cade in partenza e l’ennesima rimonta lo porta a tagliare il traguardo in 21^ posizione.

Anche per Nick Kouwenberg il GP spagnolo non è stato fortunato. Dopo una brutta partenza nella Prima Manche, nel tentativo di recupero l’olandese è caduto battendo violentemente la testa ed è stato costretto al ritiro. Non al 100% della condizione per via della caduta Kouwenberg nella Seconda Manche, dopo essere partito in terza posizione, ha tagliato il traguardo in 11° piazza.

Filippo Zonta nella prima frazione, dopo una partenza nelle retrovie, ha recuperato fino alla 22^ posizione sfiorando la zona punti. Al via della Seconda Manche l’italiano è stato coinvolto in una caduta di gruppo e, dopo essere ripartito attardato, ha tagliato il traguardo in 29^ posizione.

Il Campionato Mondiale Motocross farà tappa questo weekend in Francia sulla pista di Saint-Jean D’Angely.

		Henry Jacobi I had a solid Saturday and we found the perfect set-up in the race. Sunday I crashed both motos in the first couple corners, I was almost last in the start because I have lost so much momentum when I went in the deep grinded dirt, so I couldn’t get any points. That’s really disappointing. Ho avuto un Sabato consistente ed abbiamo trovato il set-up perfetto in gara. La domenica sono caduto alle prime curve in entrambe le gare. Ero praticamente ultimo in partenza perché ho perso l’attimo della partenza finendo anche nel fango, e non ho potuto guadagnarmi nessun punto. Questo è davvero deludente.

		Nick Kouwenberg Time practice started very well, we came up a bit too short for another pole, but a second was fine. Race 1 was a big bummer, messed up my start and had to force more of what I was able to do and I took myself out on the hill. I hurt my head and not much memories left from Saturday. Sunday my head was still pretty messed up, no sleep, but I just gave it a shot, and was good enough for a couple of laps in the top-5, but then blurred vision dropped me back to 11. Not much more I could do. Le prove cronometrate sono iniziate molto bene, siamo andati vicini alla pole, ma un secondo andava più che bene. In Gara 1 è stata una gran disdetta, ho sbagliato la partenza e sono stato costretto al recupero, ma, forzando più del dovuto, sono caduto. Ho battuto la testa e non ho più molti ricordi del Sabato. La domenica ero piuttosto frastornato, ma ci ho provato. I primi giri sono stati buoni nella top-5, poi, a causa di una visione distorta, sono retrocesso, tagliando il traguardo in Undicesima posizione. Non c’era molto altro che avrei potuto fare.

		Filippo Zonta This weekend in Spain I was able to get a better rhythm in the race. With a bit less of un-luck, in particular in the second race, I could obtain better results. I am improving and I am looking forward for the next races. Questo weekend in Spagna sono riuscito a prendere un buon ritmo di gara. Con un po’ di sfortuna in meno, specialmente nella seconda manche, avrei potuto fare un risultato migliore. Sto migliorando e sono fiducioso per le prossime gare.
